Hunter Stadium

Yesterday I got to go back to Newcastle for work. My boss wanted to bring me along to Hunter Stadium so I could see firsthand what the venue looked like and better understand what I’m doing. Hunter Stadium is the first stop for the Wallabies this season. They will play Scotland on June 5. The main reason we were there, however, was to do some menu tastings. I was pumped when I heard this. The head chef at Hunter Stadium is Scottish, so it was only fitting that he prepare some Scottish plates for the game against Scotland. We tried several appetizers, entrees, finger foods, and desserts. This wasn’t your ordinary stadium food either. These were premium package menus. Sit down dinners and such. THis was high class food. And dear God was it delicious. He brought out plate after plate of amazing gourmet food. I tried all of it. I wasn’t prepared for the amount I had to taste though. I got eager early on and piled my plate high. I should have paced myself better because byt the end I was feeling it. My stomach was about to burst by the time he brought the desserts out. But for the sake of my job I had to press on. I ate damn near every single thing he brought out. It was a great day of work. I’ll add that I passed out due to a food coma on the way home and got to go home an hour early. Alls in a days work.
